Hi everyone :D

Thanks.

I reckon the user info to the left of the post should also have the shaded background that the post has, just a bit difficult to read the light blue text when it's over a lighter background (i.e. the white Arabic sign).

Either way, VB4.0 = Flawless victory

Noob question... How do you post images inline rather than as an attachment? The old forum used to have an option to insert the image in the post but I cant find something similar in this one.

I agree with Nuss's suggestion above too, possibly in a slightly darker shade of grey as well perhaps to still be able to differentiate between the user info and the post?

Looks awesome though!

I think if you click "Go advanced" next to the post button, instead of using attachment click the little "Image button" next to the smiles and it might place them where you have clicked. Not too sure though.

I'm actually thinking of making my own style.

Currently we have a downloaded custom style darkvision, where I went(with Rices helping choose) and changed the colour of most of the text as the default was pure white. (In the process pretty much learnt enough to be able to make a new one from scratch.

I think the site would be much better if I used the default template and did minor tweaks myself, that way everything might be much easier to see and not broken.

I always insert images the good old fashioned way with code. enter url of image

eg http://wallpaperswide.com/thumbs/crazy_monkey.jpg (http://www.fantasybattlefield.com/view-source:http://wallpaperswide.com/thumbs/crazy_monkey-t1.jpg) will post http://wallpaperswide.com/thumbs/crazy_monkey-t1.jpg

This was an image I was uploading off my computer not a web page, could always use an image hosting website and do it like that though.

TEST:
http://fantasybattlefield.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4&stc=1&d=1309855669

Ok I worked out how to do it for images you upload:

After you've uploaded the image in the "manage attachments" window, click the link to the image under current attachments, copy the url then paste in and use code like genocide suggested. Works as above.

Yeah, always need to upload image first from your PC. I use http://www.xs.to/ to host images which is quick & simple.

I finally fixed the attachment limits/settings so your able to upload better quality pictures and it won't resize unless they are over 2mb. :)

I understand how to change the main colours of the site easily now.

I went with the first few that looked okay. If anyone has any suggestions for the navbar colour/header of the site/inner background. Just let me know the colour codes. http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css_colornames.asp

I'm not a huge fan of the very white dogtags background. :)

See full size image here (http://i.imgur.com/GdN5h.png). Pretty much the same as what you saw last night, I just added the fantasy battlefield text and some nice smoke/splatter effects. I woke up this morning and realised the background I made was shit, so watch this space because Ill work on something better.
