Now that this server is no longer called Fantasy Island, I think it's a good time to make a slight change to the server.

I'm bored of Isla 24/7. I know there's a heap of other servers playing other maps but I like this one ;) I don't want to stop entirely, hell, I like playing Isla heaps. I just want something to break it up every couple of rounds.

What I propose is a map voting system, like the one I saw on Sydney 24/7 last night. For those who don't know, someone initiates a map vote (not sure how but that can be figured out later) between 3 maps and players vote 1, 2 or 3 to decide which map to play next. There's probably a way to get more options available for selection too.

We could limit the choices available to the good maps in the game, such as VALPARAISO, Isla Inocentes (obviously), Port Valdez, Laguna Presa etc...

Anyway, let me know your thoughts everyone :)

Actually, I have experimented with vote map once before.

Might try that tomorrow with 2 other maps. e.g the other two maps will only play next if x% of the people vote for it. Otherwise it will just keep playing isla.

I don't think I can get it working.

We using the old wolfcon rcon tool to for server monitoring/admin. It only wants to let you map vote from the next 3 maps. (Eg if I put isla 20times on the list and valp 21st. It wont show up on the 3-way vote)
And I don't want non-isla maps on a regular basis unless map voted in.

Might be easier if we just do a like a ISLA/VALP saturday and ISLA/VALDEZ Sunday.

Just got an idea, is it possible to set it to do a votemap at the start of each round? You could do 2 Islas then another map in between on the map list, and if the server population doesn't want to go to the next map they could just vote in another Isla.

Agreed. Valpa is one of the best maps and it always brings in the crowds.

But it aint ever gonna happen, just like hardcore mode on the Fant server!
