the mystery of the worlds highest K/D

So i'm looking through various rankings on BF3 and checking out the top 0% players. Unsuprisingly the M320 features heavily amongst their stats. Then i found this guy : [EA] smnona.

This guy is the current global leader for best K/D ratio - 31.574 (oh and a 75% quit rate).

That's 122 deaths for 3852 kills.

Here's the weird part. He only has 5 kills in vehicles and 371 kills with weapons including equipment kills. 0 MAV kills.

So that leaves 3476 kills unaccounted for.

wtf? How do you get an attributed kill without it getting collected as some sort of stat? What the hell is this guy doing?
