    Oh Apple you're so indie.

Why don't you just make it a standard resolution you tryhard muppets? 2560x1440 is begging for some love.

Nothing and no-one uses 2.05:1 aspect ratio anyway, TV and games are 1.78:1, movies are the same or 2.35:1.

At least we got plenty of engineers around here who could help you solder new ram on if you ever need to change/ add some.

oh lol, and the battery that doesn't come out unless you break it.
The new MacBook Pro scored a 1 out of 10 in terms of repairability, meaning it is very difficult to repair

The batteries haven't been user replaceable for a while now, it allows them to get more battery life by having bigger batteries. Also I've owned a couple of mabooks now and only on 1 have I had to replace the battery and that was the old user replaceable one, new one I could maybe replace if I pulled it apart but it's nearly 2 years old and still gets 5 hours so imo it doesn't need replacing yet.

Also yeah new RAM soldered onto board is pretty gay, but when you consider that they come with 8gig and you can upgrade to 16gig I'm not really that fussed, it'd be more of an issue if the max was 8gig and the starting RAM was 2gig. Still they've done it because they've essentially made a 15" macbook air, which also has soldered on RAM, something to do with keeping it thin. SSD is user replaceable though, once OEMs start selling them, I know you can replace the ones in the Airs and these are pretty similar, if not the same.

Also they went with the 2880x1400 screen as it's double (so 4x the pixels and easy to interpolate resolutions) what their old 15" standard res screens were (1440x900).
